Well, I think she's settling in, but oh dear, that Johnny's timing is pretty bad, isn't it? Highlight of the show was Lauren's reaction to the suggestion that the Stereophonics were her favourite band. Or perhaps 50 Cent's (50 Pence: a Mark & Lard sketch that should have been?) rather creepy suggestion that Myleene could help him get to sleep.

Not entirely sure that they've thought this MiTracks thing through - it would be rather bad if a committed fanbase rigged the charts for several weeks. And vote for Bottle Rocket! There's a small possibility that I'm in the video!

Right now: hating tennis. I want Colonel Blimp, dammit!

Either the best or worst bit was after the Klass/Cent summit when she presented a T-shirt to Lauren, whose bellowed reaction, presumably as she got a signal from the director, of "G Unit! Here's the Stereophonics!" God knows what the kids make of her.

Actually, I do know, they probably hate her guts and love Cotton because she's "more real".

Am I alone in suspecting her stay will be similar in length and reception to John Peel's seminal lunchtime show?

I had a look around the cd:uk forums, which seem to be positive (but on the other hand, there's only about ten people there), but short of tracking down "the kids" and asking them, it's difficult to know I guess (at least until the audience figures start to change).

Tom: she hasn't refused to introduce anybody yet, so she's probably safe for the moment. When she drags Mark E. Smith on to guest present, that's when you should start worrying (which, oddly, seems less insane at the end of the week than it did at the start, what with the upcoming Grandstand appearance).
