Sorry – I tell you that I'm going off for a job interview, and then forget to say anything about it. It didn't go well, but they were nice enough about my implosion. The agency rang today to say that the company was going to pass on me. I guess that having the desire to walk out of the interview halfway through was a good indicator that it wasn't for me...

I have that problem every time. I think it's boredom. Trouble is, if I'm bored in the interview, does that bode well for the job itself? I think not.

I was very nervous, and I hadn't read up / recalled enough from my old job at Oxford, so I wasn't all that great at the technical questions they asked.

However, as they explained just how much work they had to do (the tech guy said he spends all his weekends reading manuals, which isn't my idea of fun - obviously, I'm prepared to work, but I'm not prepared to live for The Company every minute of the day), it dawned on me that even if I got the job, I wouldn't last for too long.
