There are actually good reasons for Coloradans of all parties to support the initiative: under plausible assumptions the initiative would increase incentives for presidential candidates to pay attention to Colorado. There are also reasons for Democrats considering opposing the initiative on principle to think again, as I've described here. Strangely, though, the initiative is not that well designed to help Democrats.
