Safety railings are a must. It doesn't add to the suspense but it just makes sense. Of course they would have safety railings they wouldn't let them open without them.

Incidentally, the Guardian only gave I, Robot two stars.
Obviously not in B&W, without subtitles, and lacking in Iranian art-house influences...
